Well, neither am I. Just today, I went up to the pastor, and we discussed politics a bit. Then I told him he missed a major point in the story of Christ's healing the 10 lepers (where only one, the Samaritan, came back to to thank him).

He said, "Good point. I'll make a note for the next time I deal with this passage." Of course, he doesn't preach from notes provided by Intergalactic Command HQ. He prepares his own. That's why sometimes he's (ahem) wrong.

Two weeks ago I told him he was quite wrong on a passage in Jonah. He said I was...a little bit right. We still have coffee from time to time.

Kirby is a loose cannon, pointed at the COB.

i'M GLAD every time I see something like this.

I know this is off topic, but Salt Lake Trib wants 5-10 bucks to join their club to get the privilege of reading their rag...with or without ads? Really? To be polite...screw them.

As for Kirby..I think he's an excellent writer. I'll read his column later.

The Trib should be happy to get exposure to their content on the net without charging a membership fee. They are being penny-wise and pound foolish. People have the money, they just don't like being coerced. If they continue to limit access to their product...they will become irrelevant in today's competitive media market.
