LDS movies 5 year plan

My brother knows I work in the movie industry, so I get a call looking for some inside info' on hiring services in "the industry"; he tells me they plan on expanding content production big time in the next five years, and one thing he mentions is possible shooting in Central America. So expect some big money Jesus in Guatemala adventures.

I really wanted to ask him about casting real Lamanites, but I'm too nice of a guy.

Didn't someone recently post that there were major layoffs in the LDS, Inc movie production department at the SLC office?

So they are outsourcing their next production(s)?

The OP may be talking about LDS-affiliated/cooperating indies, and not TSCC official productions. But that begs the question, "Anon," what's your brother's basis for knowledge--is the LDS movie production industry so tight that one can get the pulse of the whole group?
