He's back and with a vengeance posting for the lord.

And he also found a link to fight porn.

One post was a porn is the new drug site which actually is hiring.

http://fightthenewdrug.org/careers-and-internships-join-the-team/

I wonder what their dress code is like?

Anyway, I think they are Mormon but their "story" is about nothing.

http://fightthenewdrug.org/about/

It is like a Seinfeld site. A lot of nothing but lots of media and stuff.

Then they have a link to an app signup site with this feature.

"Personalized Battle Tracker Calendar

The battle tracker is a daily calendar that will allow you to record your victories and your setbacks. Not only can you record the day that you had a setback but also the time, location, and device used. Tracking this information will help you see trends in your behavior, allowing you to make necessary changes.
"

I wonder if you have to rate your setbacks? Like looked at a Swimsuit magazine or watched a hardcore video?

"Battle against reality Calendar."

Or, battle against biology.

I posted that same link in another thread about that same website a few weeks ago. It was for a community meeting here where I live. I saw it in one of those "free" newspapers they put in mailboxes.

Unless it was put in the mailbox by the U.S. Postal service,
putting things into mailboxes is a federal crime.

It was a big ad in the paper itself.

They probably got their inspiration from this.

Poor guy. He so needs to have a crusade, regardless of whether or not it makes the slightest sense.

As a side note, I misread your subject line, twice, and was quite surprised the third time it moved past my eyes to see that it did not say "My RM Nephew is posting tons of FLDS related stuff and he found porn"

I thought that maybe he was really starting himself out on a new lifestyle.

His aunt is a polygamist just not in the FLDS. LOL!

Hey, Elder. Perhaps part of his thinking is because of his age. I don't think most people liked me in my late adolescence yeas. I was a jerk, TBM to the core, self-righteous, and judgmental. In reality, I was hiding my own terrible feelings of unworthiness, imperfections, and self-doubt.

I know a lot about of TBM men of all ages who rail against porn. I didn't not have a problem with folks taking a stand against something that they see is wrong or inappropriate. That said, I think Mormonism actually promotes porn by focusing so much on it.

I wish you, your family, and your nephew the very best. I'm old enough to have seen some of my wife's TBM relatives move from zealous members to non-members. The Boner.

Me too. The members of one brother's family and himself. It is like looking at a fog lift.

You Boner were probably a sensitive kid. You covered your self doubts like Packer wanted you to - with blustering beliefs.

He probably has a confession to make, and this is his way of acting out in righteousness. SMH

Like any normal young man, he is fascinated by the functioning of genitalia. He's writing about it in the only way he's been taught.

Loathing the normal functions of ones body is unhealthy, much less healthy than say, having a cup of coffee.

So twisted.

Maybe he could get fascinated with what other young men his age are fascinated with?

"When I was in the hospital, I got to use, for the first time, a video game console. I was hooked. After being in the hospital for a few weeks, my Hometeacher came over and gave me a blessing. Two days later, I walked out of there completely cured. But hold on. I wasn't allowed to go to Church when I was sick because my body couldn't handle it. But I realized, as I got better, that when I stayed home from church, I got three whole hours of video game time and I didn't have to share with my siblings. So that was when the 'I hate church' phase of my youth, which would go on from 9 years old to 18, began. I would do whatever it took to avoid Church. But... When I was fifteen, I found myself in the bonds of an addiction. I would go from Bishop to Bishop trying to kick this addiction. But so HORRID and so PERSISTANT was this addiction that I couldn't stop it. But the last Bishop that I spoke too about this problem told me that I needed to 'Stop avoiding Church, say your prayers at night AND read your scriptures every day' to protect myself from this evil. And... I never indulged in that addiction since that first meeting with him. I know that Jesus Christ helped me. I know he went through what I went through in the Garden and I KNOW that he, no matter what your problem is, he can help you."

Aw, shoot.
When I saw in the subject line that he'd found porn, I thought there was going to be a happy ending (pun intended).
Alas, he only found a crusade against porn.

Then again, maybe he *did* find porn, and the classic Shakespeare line about protesting too much applies...?
One can hope.

I think he found a support system to shut down his factory until a woman can be found to run it.

Does the app send your "setback" updates directly to your bishop?

No, you have to update your individualized setback with the Bishop on the calendar that's hanging on the wall in the closet in the back of his office.

Does it beat the bishop? It has badges. I don't think the bishop does.

I embarrassed myself a couple of weeks ago by cross-linking through Google about a Deseret News article on incidents of STDs at BYU. I clicked on an "associated" link with a normal name, and behold people doing "it." You know... "Thingy."

Sooooo, what are the chances of nephew finding a young naive girl to hook up and marry him in the temple in about 90 days?

Or, does he need more like 180 days? If he doesn't find this naive girl, what will his future look like? I'm thinking it's not good either way, as he doesn't come across as being the brightest crayon in the box. No insult intended, just an observation. I honestly worry about kids like this.

He's jumped though all the hoops, now what? What happens when the promises of mormonism don't come through? No prayers, no efforts, no fasting, pleading, temple attendance, nothing works. Now what!???

Mormonism is so cruel to those who do their biding, but then the promises don't appear. The church then proceeds to lay on more guilt, doubt, and worry onto those who don't fit the mould.

What is the answer or solution for people like this??? Education? maybe, maybe not. Technical school? More likely to be of help over the long term. However, if nobody around this person helps and supports those efforts, they're doomed. It takes effort, support, money, support, support, and more support from family, the school, the government, and the system in general. This is one of the slim hopes for a person like this. Problem is, he may not know this. The family and the system know this and he needs their help and support over the long term. Lucky him if he receives that.If not...
