Just a theory that occurred to me just now. Mormons say that The Lord takes their leaders and replaces them when "the time is right"-eous.

Have any Mormon leaders had the unrighteous reward of dying around the same time as someone famous/infamous/more important to "The World" than them?

There is just as much proof that EVERY MORmON prophet / profit fell from grace as they fell into sin and were on the verge of leading THE church into error so their life had to be ended by god to protect/preserve the Church, well, besides the fact that the MORmON church already happens to be utterly hopelessly corrupt -a FACT that faithFOOL MORmONS do not accept.

about 20 years ago, just before I quit being a MORmON, I was watching a PBS documentary on a previous president of the US. The point holds true for just about any one of them. As I watched, The thought hit me that he was over a million times more of a person than the POS who happen to be the president of "THE" MORmON church at the time who was mostly just a world class dumb ass loser. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YEMX0VooD4

I would be interesting to see how lopsided the coverage in the DESSERT news would be if TSM and the Pope croaked on the same day.

I'd like to see that! Oh, that would be sweet. SLC would have to cover the pope more than just "passing" wouldn't they?

But I'd bet a six pack the DN would give TSM's croaking more ink.

The one (and only) instance that comes to mind (because someone mentioned at his funeral) was Ezra Taft Benson dying about the same time as Erich Honecker, by then former leader of East Germany.

Erich Honecker died May 29, 1994.
Ezra Taft Benson died May 30, 1994.

Also

David O. McKay died Jan 18, 1970.
Hal March (TV personality and game-show host) died Jan 19, 1970.

That's pretty much it.
