The yellowed pages list churches by denomination. There are a number of pages - hundreds of churches total. Under TCoJC[S]oLDS, it lists one local ward (1 of 4 separate wards [in two buildings], the other three not mentioned). There are three other area branches listed, leaving out a number of other branches in the stake.

The STEAK (including two wards) - or (main area) ward - is not mentioned [under TCoJCoLDS]! However, under "Churches-Reorganized Latter Day Saints", listed is "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" and (CCC) "Community Christian Church".

Any thoughts as to why?

Because it costs money to purchase a listing in the yellow pages?

The ward which created the original stake (moving the steak center to the other side of town in a new building a number of years ago, and dividing it into two, one becoming the new steak center, as well as dividing the original stake center/ ward into two) is the only ward listed under 'lds'.

Three wards - one meeting in the original stake center and the other meeting in the newer stake center, as well as the 'new' main ward/ stake center - are not listed (but three regional branches, among about 9, are) under 'lds'.

The question in why is the stake center ward listed under reorganized lds?

Because they are listed in the White Pages in the SLC phone book.

The local (one of four wards in the area) lds-Mormon church [steak center] is listed under "Reorganized..." to save money, space-face or calls for help? Another one of Mormonism's lies/ deceptions? A type-o?

Anyone else notice weird listings? Do they not want the phone to ring? Random visitors? Why not list it under 'lds', like the others, where it belongs? Shady

TSCC can't be reorganized but maybe disorganized.

Perhaps they felt sorry for the CCC,since they were listed by themselves.

In TCoJC[S]oLDS, what does the S in square brackets stand for?

A printed telephone book? I haven't seen one of those in years. People search websites or Facebook for telephone numbers. IMHO I don't think a printed phone book would be the best use of advertising dollars.

You make a good point. Few seek out the yellows and many of them may need a magnifying glass!

Regardless, the question at hand is simply, mainly, why is the LDS advertising under "Reorganized lds" (in one phone book [and to a lesser degree, leaving out wards, even the two that meet in the steak center] and MUCH inconsistencies overall when comparing multiple listings, one even listing the institute building as a church address and number)? Does Salt Lake City know of or approve the confusing listings?

My 15 (soon 16) year-old daughter, a couple of weeks ago, had some older person (not me) suggest to her to look something up in the phone book.

"The phone what?" she asked.

Yeah.

RLDS?

Why would a lds ward-stake list under RLDS?

Question

My understanding of how the yellow pages work is the company producing it sorts the business listings by category, contacts each business to confirm the listing and in the process tries to sell the business ad space in the book. Some of the newer companies that got into the directory business (before the Internet and smart phones got popular) might have even required payment for a basic listing in their directory. Hence the MaBell product used to advertise that they were the only complete listing source.

Maybe when MaBell was making the only Yellow Pages they used some information provided by the business when they set up the phone service to sort by category.

Bottom line, I am guessing the so-called church doesn't decide how it is listed and may not have taken the from the salesperson, and/or possibly refer him/her to SLC HQ, and thus the listing wasn't corrected from whatever WAG generated it.

Seriously, when everyone had a phone book, all of the LDS churches were listed in the business section of the white pages, page after page in the SLC directory.

And ask what the Re[dis/un]organized church of Jesus Christ of little day saints is? I imagine people don't post numbers here, so, if you like... email me for the number, or anything else you like.

How do you differ from the [regular] Mormon church since you are listed not under the church of Jesus Smith of Ladder Day Snakes, but rather under the reorganized...

Why are you listed with the RldsLDS/ CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) (Christ's Chicken Church) if URLDS (urinating ridiculousness licking dicks suck).

see the Steve Martin movie 'the Jerk'.

LDS buildings (should a visitor locate one) CAN post a map of ward boundaries & list the SM times visible to outside, BUT I'VE NEVER SEEN ONE DO THAT (why?)

To A 2, & Leaving - "who uses a fonebook" (emphasis added)? The hotel guest. Hope that helps. The question arises because we wonder why the local steak/ ward lists not under LDS but rather RLDS, along with CCC. Christ probably confuses them. It goes back to JS. JESUS CHRIST, his cRock, and women obviously confused him.

GNPE - because they don't want "strangers" [meaning stranger than morons, like that was possible] (only vetted 'investigators')/ truth seekers, formons, the hungry, the naked, the happies or the Baptists visiting.

Par for the (golf) course in the Mormon church. Inconsistencies. Phonies. False Advertising! The confusing "religion". Maybe they are attempting reorganizing. Have they ever been organized? Nope.
