You know of course it is due to all those Mormons praying for moisture don't you?

It's the result of rain.
Why is that "miraculous?" :)

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

Albert Einstein allegedly said that but who knows. If I could actually prove it that would be a miracle.

My high school reunion is this year in Silicon Valley.

Hmm, something to ponder as I weigh my options whether to go or not. There was a drought the year I finished high school in the Bay area. It didn't slow us down any, but it was almost to the point of rationing water (mid-1970's.)

:)

A more accurate title would have been....

"Photos of dramatic change in California drought"

Yes, the photo's are dramatic....but miraculous? No, not at all.

Watch what you pray for.

Like most things in nature you have balances.

Too arid, then too much moisture followed by floods and lots of vegetation growth with a following of drought followed by wildland fires.

Like the native Americans use to burn fields to bring rain, most large forest fires bring large amount of rain fall that cause floods and land slides.

Seems nature's pendulum swings like US politics. Too wet then too dry. Too Liberal then too conservative.

Hey, I'm ok.

I'm quite used to the nit-picky pedantic types who hang out here.

All part of the charm that is the miracle of RfM.

I suppose they'd likely object to Miracle-Gro fertilizer.

Unfortunately, they're not farsighted enough to plan and prepare as well as they could.

It's raining today in North California. The hills are green, which is kind of rare for April. Water is being captured and saved in our reservoirs, but there's no way to cover a multi year drought.

We may be left with a permanent ground water deficit since the ground actually sank in the valley, leaving less room to store water underground.

Thanks and blessed are ye 2 mr Donald Baggins for wading in.

Please send all future moisture to Colorado, the state and the basin that once filled lagos called Powell and Mead which have now become dried up symbols of greed.

Lordy please.
