That's the picture I get as the church leaders procrastinate the inevitable - full disclosure that they are a corporate cult(ure) instead of a church. With tons of skeletons in the bulging closets.
I, along with my fiend Dallin H. Orcs, do bestow all the rights and privileges of the Sauronic Priesthood upon each of thee. Where will you go? What will you do?
I think the average active Mormon doesn't know---or care to know--how things really got started. The church (such persons seem think), is plenty true enough to get the kids ready to be a good Mormon Christian, and have a happy life.
(One has to admit, that removing alcohol and smoking from one's life, will at least start them off with better health--and that's a biggie.)
