Akesiu 6:28 PM That's good. Anyone who has a true desire to be baptized into the church can be baptized if they prepare themselves. Also they must have permission from their parents in order to do so.

Hannah 6:31 PM We believe that the family is ordained of God and that children who have parents who are homosexual who choose to be baptized could lead to contention in the home. We believe in repsecting the beliefs of everyone and keeping families together.

Bob 6:34 PM Huh? You deny children the right to get baptized if their parents are gay, how is that not judging?
Hannah 6:34 PM It is a policy that our church put out and we know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God and we are choosing to follow his counsel. We don't judge you if you don't follow his counsel and we would politely ask you to not harshly criticize us for following him. Thank you.

Bob 6:35 PM I'm not criticizing. I'm just asking the obvious moral question raised by your hateful policies.
I had a BoM professor at BYU in summer of 2015 who said we need to put "temptations of the flesh" "back into the category of any other sin" and that "the world isolates those who experience same sex attraction by making their sin seem different," so “the value of putting it back into the same box as other sins” is great. He continued, “Satan goes to great lengths to make any who struggle with this to be in a different box from heterosexual transgression," but really "[homosexuality is] no different than a whole bunch of things. For some people that might be same sex attraction, for someone else it might be pornography, for someone else they might find a coworker attractive.” I typed out what he said into my notes as quickly as I could (although I was typing through tears, since my time in Provo was a ridiculously emotionally fragile one), so I have an accurate record.
The rest of my class just nodded along. So, at least to my professor and presumably quite a few of my old peers, being gay is just as bad as murder or rape.
Just being gay is a-okay as long as you never "act" upon it. However, once that happens, all bets are off. This seems to be the latest song-and-dance coming from the Morg.
But acting on screwing other men's wives and teenage daughters is no moral problem whatsoever, as long as the guy doing it is a PRofit, despite the fact God said otherwise, everywhere He mentioned the adulterous behavior?
