I used to love getting a new computer, phone, and an airline ticket to somewhere.

Now I dread the hell out of all that stuff. Computer and phone updates leave me feeling anxious and pissed. I didn't ask for them. I'm happy with the way things are. However, if I don't do the upgrade my life will be a mini hell. If I do the upgrade, my life will be a mini hell.

I just want to use my phone and computer the same way I did yesterday. I hate the anxiety of having to relearn the basics of my phone and computer every few weeks. It annoys the shit out of me. I suppose that's the way it's going to be though. Not much I can do about it. Technology will force me to keep up if I want to or not.

I miss the day when I picked up the phone and dialed the numbers I had memorized. If I needed a # I called the information operator. I used to be an info operator. That was fun. Do they still have those?

I'm not even going to talk about flying and all that entails. It used to be an event. A grand event with unlimited free cocktails, roomy seats, great stews, and good food. Where did that all go?
