This event happened about 35 yrs. ago.

My husband and I were driving over to visit our daughter, who lived about 3 miles away from us.

When we were within blocks of her apartment (stopped at a stop-light), we noticed a black missionary on his bike, just to our right. Unfortunately, just at that time, he got hit by a car, and fell to the ground. He was one scared guy, as he was from Africa (a long way from home), and spoke next to no English. Also, his bike was no longer usable.

So, we were able to take him (and his partner) and his bike to a local hospital E.R., for treatment. (As it appeared, he was more scared than hurt.)

Imagine being in such a frightening situation.

I guess his partner called someone to help them, once they got to the hospital.

At any rate, we counted it a blessing that we were where we were needed at that time.

What's the chances of that? (We lived in California, L.A. area, not in cozy everyone's-a-Mormon Utah.)
