A guy that just moved to Utah from California started at my work last week, he mentioned when he first got here his roommates invited him to a party and he showed and there was a big crowd playing some water pong, he couldn't believe Mormons would be that weird to play that without it being beer, I told him thats just the tip of the iceberg with the weirdness factor with them

Aw, poor mormons. They want so badly to be "normal," and have fun like real people. But they just can't.
'Cause beer is evil.

Aww.

Kind of like us Baptists, who know all too well that dancing leads inevitably to sex.

I know the slippery slope all too well. I started playing wist, then graduated to bridge. After a while, I found Grand Slam Tournament Bridge insufficient for my psychopathic needs, and moved on to poker. Now--I'm such an apostate Baptist wretch--I'm addicted to lottery scratch tickets. I dig out the losing tickets from the 7-11 trash, double-checking them for winners that might have been missed by the original purchaser. Back in February, I found a $5 winning scratch ticket that somebody overlooked!!

*Intentional typo.

The risk of overhydration is what gives the game an edge.

I'm surprised they're not playing Kool-Aid pong.

My dear grandfather (from a small town in Arizona), used to say, 'heck-a-mighty'--but he wasn't really 'active' in the church (although he lived in a small LDS church community). He also drove around town smoking a big cigar, with his man-sized light-grey hat on.

(I still use the 'heck-a'-mighty' on occasion--can't help myself.)
