I had a good laugh at that photo. Idiots and their silly useless rituals.

As I've written before, I think this is a big threat to the church.

The Boise rescue idea--an old gray lawyer from the COB arriving with a briefcase full of essays--shows the problem precisely. How would the Remnant react? I think they would pull out the Book of Mormon and Doctrine & Covenants and tear the gray Apostle to shreds.

Those people reject correlated Mormonism because there is in it no inspiration, no revelation, no prophecy or individual theosophy; there is in today's Mormonism no Jesus. A mealy-mouthed apostle with legal briefs, claiming to have supplanted a once active vociferous God, would simply illustrate Snuffer's point.

The Church is ill-equipped to deal with a Remnant who still take the old doctrine and vision seriously. Those people demonstrate how barren today's Mormonism is.

The Gospel has gone Corporate and the religiously inclined don't like it. There is no mention of accountants, auditors, attorneys or any other such 'A' words in the Sacred Works, and any groups resembling them, i.e., Pharisees, etc., were condemned.

While Faith without Works is a nice catch phrase, the Works were never heretofore 'correlated'!!

I thoroughly enjoyed growing up mormon, but I never lost my human touch (of my private parts). I lied for the Lord in every worthiness interview, and I imagined that was as good with it as I was.

Faith without jerks is dead.
