has anyone verified the sources? This is pretty damning against the church if it is true. But I wouldn't quote the article until it's been verified.

I wouldn't doubt the anecdotes, but the confusing part to me is how such low men (liars, whoremongers, looters and murders), are held up as shining moral examples in church materials. I have to keep reminding myself that insanity is not a virtue. The Mormon fun house has some really weird mirrors.

What I mean is they can't everfetching speak for God, can they?

Even the modern leaders, as shameless and gutless as they are. If you think they speak for God you're crazy. They're not monsters, they're men. Plain old guys stuck in a game that's turned sour.
