Back in the 60's it was all about Missionary work. Ask the Golden Questions. What do you know about Mormons? Would you like to know more?
In the 70's it seemed to be about placing the BoM everywhere. We had to give out BoM's and report back in Priesthood how we did.
In the 80's it was inviting people to your home for family Home evening.
Then I kind of dropped out for about 20 years.
Now it seems to be do Temple work, submit names to the temple, and clean temples and church building. This is called service.
The shift seems to be from working with the living to working with the dead.
Even our ward Primary is going to the Denver in a couple of weeks to do something with the flower beds.
Missionary work seems to be a dead issue now when many years ago it was so important and so inspired.
At least every Sunday Temple work is talked about in Sacrament meeting.
Is your ward or stake doing this?
In our stake everyone is to submit one family name to the temple and if possible do the work for them at the temple. This is to be completed by the end of the year.

To get to the temple you need a recommend.

To get a recommend you need to pay tithing.

Tithing is the life blood of the church.
