Good for them. I for one applaud their sense of civic duty. I congratulate them.

I think most good Evangelicals know this is a toxic issue and they need to try and distance themselves from the subgroups within Evangelicals that clearly do enable racists.

They are not blameless for harboring the issue for generations, and NOW they want Trump to condemn it as if they were not some of the last hold-outs for racist divisiveness as a whole. (Not ALL)

This is kind of like if Mormons asked Trump to condemn polygamy. They endorsed the problem and now wish it would go away, and Trump doesn't give a crap about women.

So you are saying that there are good evangelical pastors and there are bad evangelical pastors but the bad ones get all the publicity ?

And the press decide which of them gets the most publicity -- usually when there's scandal involved.
