I get up early, usually 3:30 AM or so.
This morning, about 3:45 AM, I had ABC World News Now on while getting ready to leave.
They had a story about Tom Petty's death, showing tweets from other singers/celebrities about Tom.

They showed a tweet from the twitter account of George Harrison. And the announcer said:
"...and former Beatle George Harrison tweeted his feelings about Tom Petty."

Except...George died in 2001.
Oops.

I don't know who was using the "George Harrison" account on twitter. I'm betting it wasn't George Harrison.

Didn't George believe in reincarnation? He's probably back and Tweeting from another station in life.

Hopefully the dead make better twitter friends than politicians do.

I don't Twitter although I did for a while, it just got too full of stupid people.

I am on Facebook and "George Harrison" has a Facebook page, which I think is run by his son Dhani.

When the news of Tom Petty's death came out, there was a message of condolence and signed by Olivia Harrison and Dhani Harrison.

So, if there's a Twitter account with George's name on it, it's likely one of them.

Exactly.
As others pointed out, this was George's surviving family posting.
But the announcer...clueless that Harrison died in 2001...says it's George Harrison posting.

I guess they can only read teleprompters, not think about what it says on them :)

Well, if the tweet was something like "Hey, Tom and I are having a great jam session up here!" then....that's cool.

If so...he didn't say anything about any 'celestial kingdom.'
Mormons should be worried :)
