Closing of wards in Germany (Dortmund Stake)

They already closed two wards in Munich Stake a while ago (last year?). Now there are closing two wards in Dortmund Stake: Muehlheim and Gelsenkirchen. The members of these wards will go to Duisburg (Duesseldorf Stake) and Essen or Essen and Herne respectively. on of the remaining wards was my first ward, but I haven't been there for a few years. I now live on another continent...

I had a mish companion from Herne. The other pair of a small district was from Essen. Unfortunately, I gather both of them are still practicing members, though one is now in the US. Or was last I knew.

Oh well, glad to hear of the cult's slow demise in my old mission grounds.

I just got back yesterday from a trip to Germany, where I didn't see a single mormon missionary or a single mormon church, a single BYU sticker on a car. It is truly a blessed land.
