Those of us plotting the violent overthrow of the government so we may hasten the loving rule of a Christian government are found to frequently chant the name of Gordon Klingenschmitt to keep our spirits lifted during the long wait for our kingdom to be revealed.
Thirty years ago "The Handmaid's Tale" was just alternative reality fiction. Today, it's not so impossible. Ethno-nationalism and religious extremism have combined in an unholy alliance.
If theocracy ever does come to America, I think it will be similar to the indirect Mormon model in Utah rather than direct religious rule as in Iran.
When people say things like the Las Vegas mass shooting was caused by a "godless" America instead of the actions of a disturbed individual, we have a problem.

“Up in heaven, God already rules. But down here on earth, it’s not always the case. There are some places where God’s will is not done, we read about sin every day in the newspapers. Look at what happened in Las Vegas, that was not the will of God, so we need to stand up for what is the will of God and bring His will down here to earth, the same way it is already being done in heaven.”
Poor God. Can't get his will done, despite being omnipotent and stuff. So Gordon has to do it for him...'cause Gordon has more power than God. Or so he thinks...
Yes, Gordo. Because that's what Jesus said. "Oust Caesar, take over the government." None of this bs dyin' on a cross crap would have even happened! errr...oh. ummmm...
