LDS church to dedicate new Meridian temple Sunday

So no regular services across southern Idaho this week from our TBM neighbor. They'll be the "Hosanna" thing. It'll be one of those services where they lock the dooors(fire hazard anyone!!??)

Also why do this for people who live over 3 hours away!??. We have a temple in Twin Falls. And they are still pushing members to go to the temple there!!

So now there'll be one there; Boise; Pocatello; Twin Falls; Idaho Falls and Rexburg (in Idaho.) How many blooming temples does it need for a church where barely 15% of its active members have temple recommends. It's building more temples than chapels it seems. While the membership is in decline. Instead of helping the poor, the morg spends or rather invests in commercial real estate properties such as temples. It doesn't benefit the laymembers who pay for those temples since they don't get to go inside because they aren't temple worthy. So members basically pay for buildings they derive no benefit from.

Good point, though. There *can't* be an actual "need" for another temple in Idaho...

Better question is: IS there any need for any temples to begin with????????????

Just scrubbing some more tithing for the chosen few lucky enough to be on the stipend roll...great way to make sure the right folks can afford their McMansions on the bench...or on the golf course...those 17000 dollar rugs don't find themselves you know...nor those 5000 dollar doors...hmmm I wonder who does phallic chandeliers
