Cheers, Hitch.

Thankyou for making my world a much better place.

And I've missed him for six years.
Nothing compares to a Hitchslap.

Was Hitch a person you loved or the best dog in the world?

Hitch was a loyal old mutt who would always bark out the same response to any question asked of him. For example:

Q: Who’s a good boy?

Hitch: Woof!

Q: Does God exist?

Hitch: Woof!

Q: Did you shit in the living room?

Hitch: Woof!

Etc., etc......

Ok, I'm going to show my ignorance here; you guys have me curious now; who or what is "Hitch"? I can't tell if you're being serious, or sarcastic. I know you're not talking about Tommy,of course, but somebody in the Seventy or one of the apostles?

They are referring to Christopher Hitchens.

Wow, he's British, love his accent. He seems entertaining, no wonder all the positive comments.

Few people agree with all he had to say (including me), but he was one of the most eloquent speakers and writers I have read. He was able to defend his views. He has impacted my opinions. He was exemplary to me up to the time he died. His books are fantastic reads.

He managed to p!ss off a lot of people - usually because his wit and knowledge surpassed theirs. You know when people attack him personally, it's usually because they can't effectively argue against him with well presented facts.

Clearly Christopher got all the IQ points in his family - as you can see from poster Peter above. ;-D

I miss Hitchens too. Fortunately he left books and his encounters are all over Youtube.

When I first read his book I thought his defense of atheism was spot on, but his criticism of "religion" I thought was over the top. But I have come to believe he is right that "religion spoils everything".
