Joseph Smith created the endowment and borrowed the masonic death oaths in order to keep polygamy a secret. It evolved into a way to keep members in line and paying tithing because of the reality of missing family weddings.

It’s amazing how similar Warren Jeffs is to Joseph Smith. Although I’m not sure Jeffs married other men’s wives and used death oaths to keep it secret. Some of Joe’s marriages bordered on incest. It’s not like TSCC doesn’t know all this. If modern standards were applied to Joseph, one percent of what he did would get him excommunicated with extreme prejudice.

Warren Jeffs is known to have molested both little boys and girls. Some included his own offspring.

He was a known pedophile.

Also, as a school head master he used public sexual abuse as a punishment for students who he said misbehaved. He was a monster!
