They'll tell him to look for some sales on gentile underwear, because in a couple of weeks he'll be having a court of love unless he resigns.

If they punish him it looks like the church condones abuse in the wake of the me too and gymnast publicity they'd look extra bad.

But maybe Oaks and Nelson are too hard lined to care.

.........and the gymnast scandal, they may decide it's in their best interest to stop the practice and deny they every did any sexual questioning at all.

What clearer example of the church relishing its power over the lives of its members?

Hundreds of examples of harm presented and probably thousands still hidden here and abroad.

The church openly condones the harming of children for its own end. Shame on them.

Nothing will stop the abuse unless there is money involved..and even then..it will happen behind closed doors. It is a sick and twisted cult.

IF tscc acts to correct or dilute PH (claimed) discernment - discretion, THAT WILL BE NEWS!!!

A distinct factor in this is the Ultra-Legalistic nature of ChurchCo: their clear mentality (?) is: "Since we're a church, we can do Anything that pleases us!"

The Fact that someone is calling them out: have the minions "protected" the top dogs by not informing them?

If that was a can of worms, they haven't seen anything yet. He ISN'T giving up (either) and he isn't backing down.

As someone who went thru this as an adult, I can tell you that the church says they do not condone the practice however it is up to the bishop to read the book and follow it. The bishop may be reprimanded even if the person has told the bishop he was not to ask for detailed information or soft porn. Or not reprimanded. What it does is drive a married woman not to have sex.
I really wish they would have that one extra person in the room like a gynecologist is supposed to do. In my case those questions would never have been asked and I wouldn't have spent 15 years recovering.
I worry for Sam Young. Discussing this with anyone like he has done will get him excommunicated. As I said the church will deny this is a practice except in small isolated cases and if you say different, they don't want you on the church

? kinda like they claim that Dead Dunking holocaust victims was isolated, rare, unauthorized...

Is it even remotely possible that change could happen? The church has been showing itself to be vulnerable to intense pressure from both inside and outside, recently.

Those dreaded and dreadful interviews needed to go. They place a vulnerable kid at a disadvantage to adults who KNOW how to use the resources they have. NOT good.
