I read on a blog that Von Keetch could have been in the running for the Q12 vacancy. Hmmm - entirely possible. Keetch is a stellar example of what LDS leadership would be looking for in a new leader. He was born in the bread basket of Morgdom - Provo, UT., served a mission to Deutschland, got ALL of his education @ BYU, celebrated attorney that had a legal career similar to that of Dallin Hoax, 6 kids, fought for religious liberties and took on the gay movement, shareholder in Kirton Mcconckie (general counsel to LDS Inc., lead counsel for LDS Inc., exec of LDS public affairs - wowza! Interesting thought, but no one will know for sure.

As a side note - the process of getting into the Q12 is quite simple, it's a referral system. The Q12 submit names and then they vote - with much prayer and fasting of course. The good ole' boy network in LDS Inc. lives on!

Seriously, while on my mission, we tracked out a way inactive family, with an older son, in his 30s, named Elder. So he was ahead of me in that regard, since I was a mere lad of 20 at the time.

Elder E. Zarathrusta OldDog... EZ for short, and well into the night.

Info tidbit: zarathrusta means 'golden camel' in Old Iranian. Google says so...
