while driving to and from a post-cancer doctor, who gave me a new medication that was described to me as a kind of "anti-estrogen."

Apparently I'm not considered to be at a very high risk for recurrence. The tumor that was removed apparently was nourished by estrogen, which I had been taking for years. So this stuff (called Arimidex) is designed to discourage regrowth.

Praise to the men and women who fight the cancers!!

Same for me on the anti-hormone treatment. I didn't take estrogen before my diagnosis, but I'm in the same category as you.
