I have the Mel Brooks collection on BD. I've never seen Young Frankenstein, I'll have to watch it soon.

One of the Brooks flicks which scored a laugh a scene was Spaceballs.

This cut reminds us of the efforts of Moron Archaeologists in their search to find evidence of ancient Jews around ancient America.

2 selections from me:

Airplane!

Blazing Saddles...probably the most politically incorrect film of all time. The campfire scene is totally responsible for the downfall of Western Civilization.

I think you mean "Goonreel" a 1952 TV movie, a takeoff on tv commercials?

Many of the films mentioned can be watched for free, full-length, at the free film website
http://www.ffilms.org

It's a great treasure-house for movie mavens, with thousands of films, new and old, and they add ten or twelve more every day.

Nope. A BBC Radio program that started in the 1950s. Peter Sellers, Spike Milligan, and Harry Secombe. Comedy adventures with Sellers and Milligan doing numerous voices.

All of Mel Brook's stuff is a hoot. I watch Blazing Saddles at least once a year and I still howl during that scene in "History Of The World Part 1" where Henry the Whatever, the king of France is standing on a bridge over the mote of his castle and calls "pull" and two peasants are launched and he fires at them with his blunderbuss (ya kinda gotta be a clay target shooter like me to fully "get" that one).

The Airplane movies.

Anything by Mel Brooks. The Producers, Spaceballs, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, High Anxiety (spoof of Alfred Hitchcock)

Doctor Strangelove.

Anything by the Zucher Brothers. Naked Gun, The "Police Squad" TV series.

I do think the Peter Sellers character started all these policemen spoofs.

Before Peter Sellers was Jaques Tati, a real Frenchman in "My Uncle" and "Mr. Hulot's Holiday."

Before them all was Laurel and Hardy ("Sons of the Desert" and every movie they ever made) and Charlie Chaplin.

If you like good sight-gags, Jim Carey is a master. We watch "The Grinch" every Christmas. "Ace Ventura" I and II

Christmas Vacation, Summer Vacation, European Vacation, Caddy Shack.

"The Jerk" by Carl Reiner.

Woody Allen used to be funny, before all the scandal. "Annie Hall" and "Take the Money and Run".

"A fish Called Wanda" John Cleese. Monty Python and Fawlty Towers with John Cleese.

"The Lady Killers"

"The Best in Show", "Waiting for Guffman", "This is Spinal Tap"

These ought to keep you laughing for a while.

“ Caddyshack “ for you golfers. “ Life of Brian “ for Python fans. “ Animal House “,if you went to college.“ Blazing Saddles “ for the politically correct, and just about everyone else.

It's a Mad...World is hilarious. They're right about that one.
I'm almost embarrassed to say it but "The Owl and the cat" is pretty funny. The only good movie Barbra Streisand made.
The bar scene with Joan Cusak and Tom Selleck in "In and Out" is great. Whole movie is pretty good for its day but that scene is top.

RFM blocked me from using the whole title.

My sense of humor is quite twisted. There's something about Werner Herzog's narration that makes this movie crazy surreal.
