I saw a couple of elders on the street this afternoon. One was wearing khaki pants and a very pale blue tie instead of the usual dark trousers and dark tie. Has the dress code been loosened or is this a missionary who doesn't care about the rules?

I've seen them in khakis, too. Maybe it's a mini-revolt, passive protest? That would be a step in the right direction, but nah. I think it's one of those, "Let's give you a modicum of freedom to fool you" kind of things.

I think that they have been permitted to wear lighter colored trousers for awhile. As for neckties, elders have always been wearing wild ones as long as I can remember. My MP was always upset at our zone conferences so it was the least of my concerns.

My favorite among all of his ties, is a funny one with Snoopy and Woodstock cavorting all over it.

Maybe they don’t want to look like the cast of the BoM musical.
