A testimony book my aunt put together for my grandma for her birthday like fifteen or so years ago and Omg! The brainwashing in that thing! Almost everyone wrote I KNOW Joseph Smith was a true prophet and they had the word KNOW in capital letters and underlined oh man talk about obsessive! Also I noticed the testimonys mentioned Joseph Smith more than Jesus most of the testimonys went like this "I'm so grateful for Joseph Smith" one of my aunts was like "I have walked the paths of nauvoo and I could just FEEL how amazing Joseph Smith was!" Wow that's great could you also feel what a total creepazoid he was?!

My testimony was pretty short I think I just wanted to get it over with haha I noticed my moms brother and wife were completely left out of the book they just skipped right over them around that time they had left the cult and everyone talked s*** on them and pretty much hated there guts from then on they didn't even let them say happy birthday! And I would have liked to hear there testimonys they would have been the most interesting for sure!

Also my super tbm bro wrote something like "a lot of the kids in my high school have strayed from the "straight and narrow" and one guy told me he doesn't think you need religion in your life he just believes you need to treat people with kindness and that religion doesn't matter I HOWEVER do not believe this to be CORRECT" ugh talk about narcissistic! I mean couldn't he have just said something along the lines of "I'm grateful for my family and I know this church is twoo yada yada yada? Instead of oh my gosh I'm so much better than everyone look at me look at me! I mean uuugh! Then one of my cousins went on about his he was gratful for his talents in basketball LOL LOL awesome testimony I love it! Hehehe THEN my other cousin was like you know idk if this church is really true LOL I remember at the time reading that and I was like HOW COULD HE?! Now I'm like wow he was a SMART kid! Lol we were young kids like twelve or so when we wrote it sadly now though he is getting more into the church :( and now IM the one who doesn't believe

I'm curious because the scenario you gave did, indeed, occur as you describe. We were asked to participate in a book for my MIL and declined. Would really like to know. I don't mind giving a few general facts about us (you wouldn't have to reveal who you are)in order to decide if this is us.

Oh wow that would be crazy if it was you guys! Oh gosh I'm so sorry about the comment "and everyone pretty much hated there guts from then on" I am sure it was not them hating you guys personally it was just from you leaving the cult ya know? The awful ways some Mormons act when people leave that very sadly good people who leave get. I just remember a lot of smack talked on ya guys when you left. Don't worry I have had a lot of smack talked on me as well I told a certain family member that I was not mormon anymore a few years back and they screamed at me " Joe the man ho" (not my real name thank goodness!) Funny thing is that person has since found out that Joe was a ho & Brig was a pig and no longer believes lol but ya I apologize if my comment made you feel bad I should really use my brain more and realize that people I know could very well be on this board and ya IF it is you guys I think you would find it interesting to know that not JUST me but a few more of our family members have found out about the cult and no longer believe if you would please keep this information private I would appriciate it as the people who have found out its a cult recently are scared of people finding out worried about losing jobs relationships ect. They know that sadly those things can happen when you leave this cult. They haven't even told my older UBER tbm brother yet and are worried about being shunned from there grandkids. What a great "church" right?!
