Houston high school removes sexist quote attributed to infamous 'Mayflower Madam'

Here is the quote they removed “The more you act like a lady, the more he’ll act like a gentleman.”

It was a good idea to remove this quote, and I wonder if the quote was attributed to its author.

Maybe those adults who originally decided that this was a positive quotation for high school students did not understand the prostitution context?

How about "The more you act like a gentleman, the more she'll act like a lady."

I totally agree with tje outrage over that quote. The sad ironic origin of it is an added factor; but, most importantly, it puts the blame and responsibility on those young girls.
This is the same mindset that blames
girls and women for being raped because of their attire.

Plus, it's a load of bs. A woman in a full business suit will still get catcalls from men on a city street. Acting like a "lady" doesnt stop a crude man or a sexual predator.
