I know someone who had hepititis C, thinking she would have it for her whole life, and die early because of it. It caused her some liver damage as it started gaining ground, right when a cure came out. Just a few years ago, several cures for it have come out. It costs about $100,000.00 for the cure. You take several pills a day over a twelve week period. Then you're cured. That's what she did. A year later now, there is no trace of it found in her. At $100K per person cured, I bet they do want everyone to be tested. But if you have hep C, it'll keep you from dieing early. I don't think anyone ever beats it without the cure. But some people keep it under control until they die at an old age.
