I was reading about this denomination of the LDS movement and wondered if anyone here had any experience with these guys?
They seem to use the KJV bible and the BoM but reject polygamy, baptism for the dead and eternal marriage.

I'm interested to hear ex members experiences with this church.

The Church of Christ With the Elijah Message

Resurrrected John the Baptist appeared in 1927 to Otto Fettiing (an appostle of the Temple Lot church) with "messages."
Scriptures: Word of the Lord Brought To Mankind By An Angel (120 "messges")
http://elijahmessage.net/Word-of-the-Lord.html
Distinctive Doctrines: Generally similar to the doctrines of the 1830s Mormon church
Official Website: http://elijahmessage.net/index.html
An offshoot of the Temple Lot branch of Mormonism.
W. A. Draves began receiving messages in 1931 and founded his own church in 1937.

Thanks!
Is there anyone here who used to be a member?
I'm interested as to how many people escaped that cult too!

Their "second message" has John showing the guy a vision of the temple at the temple lot being built by 1929.

It never happened.

The "fifth message" was even more explicit:

"You men, with others, shall assist in the building of the temple, the house of the Lord, which shall be started
in 1929. The Lord will give you seven years in which to complete the work. While it may be slow in the
beginning, the Lord will open the way and many will help."

Again...never happened.

How about that.

The Lord hath withheld his blessings because of the exceeding unrighteousness of the people, wherefore the work hath been not been hastened; yea, even that they may repent and turn to him, that the temple may yet be built, in 2029.

Hey this prophet stuff is fun ... I should probably throw in some stuff about the importance of tithing to support the prophet though

I had already gathered that they were just as full of crap and the mainstream LDS!

Do you think shunning is even worse because they are a smaller denomination? Do LDS shun them and the RLDS and FLDS people the the same?
