Today after work, I met up with two (gay) friends from San Francisco who used to live in Paris but whom I hadn't seen in a good few years.

In the course of the conversation, I started talking about RfM as it is one of my "windows" onto the US. We then got round to discussing mormons and the difficulty of being a gay mormon and I mentioned flattopSF/xyz and the music I made in his memory. When I said his real name was Kerry Rutz, one of my friends said: "I knew Kerry - not well, but we met several times."

It is indeed a small world.

RIP Kerry.

He was someone who profoundly affected me in my Exmormonism. RIP Kerry. It is nice to know you were so loved.

Now I can't get that damned song out of my head.

I'm pleased that flattop is still remembered fondly. He was a charming friend and I still miss him.

It is a small world. In talking to him I realized he lived just about a block up the street from me in SF.

Just another reason to treat others well.

Oh great. Now people are going to think all gay people know each other! Just kidding.

Kerry made an impression on a lot of people for the better.
Small world that he made bigger.

I know what you mean and maybe shouldn't have added that stipulation, but I wanted people to understand why we were discussing the subject.

It really is a small world. The 'ripple' effect is perhaps larger than we may ever know of the lives you touch and in turn, touch yours.

It's a small world but I still wouldn't want to paint it.
