I have googled and can't seem to find anything. Even the website for the BOM musical has nothing about tour dates.

Being a country bumpkin, I have no idea how long broadway shows play until/if they go on tour.

If it does it won't be until the Broadway production has run its course. If the show does well (all the reviews I've seen give it kudos and bravos) it might not go on tour for a long time.

Yeah, it usually takes a couple of years till they start going on tour. Looking forward to the protests when it makes its inevitable SLC appearance.

The show is sold out for months, and expect to pay premium.

Popular Broadway productions run for years. It seems like CATS ran for decades. Well Gordon B. Hinckley dreamed of the church getting mainstream media exposure and Ezra Taft Benson dreamed of the world flocking to The Book of Mormon. I see it as prophecy coming true. LOL!

Most of you are not old enough to remember, but when Leonard Bernstein's "Mass" was performed in Salt lake the church was livid that something that might resemble catholicism in a theatrical form would be performed in Zion.
A few years after that, "Jesus Christ Superstar" was banned and church leaders told members not to attend it. This was all in the early 70s.
I am sure a message will be read to the members in sacrament meeting that tells them not to spend their money on attending a performance. I suppose the money could be spent on trying to rejuvenate road shows, but those don't help to exalt the members either. LOL

I think it would last a long time in Utah. Utahn's seem to go a little overboard on taboo things like pills, plastic surgery, and porn. The Book of Mormon musical should fit right in.

There was an article in the times about 3 weeks ago saying it may come to the west end.
I can't wait if it does !
