Excellent but chilling science fiction.

I had also missed the story called "The Second Mailman" which is equally fine in a totally different genre.

Don just keeps getting better - and he started out pretty high in my esteem.

This is a very powerful story, Don.

Much food for thought, especially within the constraints of a short story, and well realized.

I noticed a couple of other good metaphors also.
