O/T Computer (Picasa) problems

I've used Picasa from Google for as long as it's been around and have managed to keep it going even after Google quit supporting it.

I had to reinstall my Windows stuff yesterday (long story) and I've always kept a link to Picasa but not the link won't let me download it.

Any computer experts here who know a good replacement or is there a way to get Picasa back on my computer.

My wife uses it all the time. I usually save the install exe, but I can't find it now. I have been making backups of her laptop, but if the hardware dies so does Picasa.
I run Ubuntu instead of Windows so I personally use Shotwell.
