Congratulations on a great job and a retirement, Rev France Davis.

If you've lived in Salt Lake City for any length of time, you likely will have heard the name of Rev. France Davis, pastor at the Cavalry Baptist Church.
He was celebrated yesterday as he retires from the job and there was program in honor of his retirement.

I had a brief business encounter with him many years ago, not long after he arrived in SLC (in the mid 70s), I was so impressed with him just as a human being. I also ran into him a couple of times after that and he always remembered my name and face.

He's just a hard worker and a decent person.
