Instead of a life-pact in his marriage he could have had an eternal death pact with God and his wife!

"...husband and wife for time and all eternity, and I seal upon you the blessings of the holy resurrection..."

I know, I know. You will probably throw shade on my wiki link. But he never was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ.

"Rock star Alice Cooper (born Vincent Damon Furnier) was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ, though he was never baptized."

The info in the Wikipedia article is limited, I'm afraid, but it was the only resource I could find on Alice Cooper's religion for many years.

I was always led to believe when I was younger his father was a Protestant pastor, mainly based on something I saw on a rock documentary. I believe his father was Protestant for a while, but his father's middle name is Moroni and his grandfather was a Bickertonite General Authority.

However, I see no evidence Bickertonites do eternal sealing so your point sticks. :)

If you type in "Alice Cooper Bickertonite", you get a better selection now.

I fairly certain you know no one but the Mormons do, polygamist ones and non-polygamists.

What would have been the result if the feather were in the cap of a young Navaho male who'd been a stand out middle distance runner and had been given an athletic scholarship to the Y?

I think elderolddog somehow meant to post at the thread relating to a school graduation where a student wasn't allowed to have an eagle feather on her graduation cap. See: https://www.exmormon.org/phorum/read.php?2,2235828

And here I thought you were doing a thread about Alice through the Looking Glass ...

Although Alice Cooper comes a close second. Cooper's becoming a devout Christian is what saved him from his addiction to drugs and alcohol.

"Alice Cooper, the shock-rock megastar who makes Marilyn Manson look like a choir boy, stopped his hard-partying ways and returned to his Bible Christian roots in the late 1980s and today, still hugely popular and touring, says he isn’t shy about discussing his faith, says his early songs always warned against choosing evil, and contends that the world we live in “doesn’t belong to us, it belongs to Satan.”

"My father was a pastor, my grandfather was an evangelist. I grew up in the church, went as far away as I could from it—almost died—and then came back to the church."

His grandfather was a Bickertonite Mormon apostle. He makes it sound like they were Protestants.

Strangely enough, his song “Poison” described exactly how I felt about the church as I was going down the rabbit hole.
