things in Morland are in a constant state of flux, but do some trends remain?
This has been mentioned before here, I'm wondering if still the case;
Are the most strident Uber-Nazi Mos among the most likely to leave?
It 'makes sense' that those who have survived along the lines of cog dis might reach a 'shelf-breaking moment' when they can no longer rationalize all the disconnects in Mo history, policies, 'doctrines' or how they're realized-implemented;
Purely my opinion, based on extremely limited contact...
My TBM daughter is my only current connection with los mormones. I don't believe that she is an Uber-Nazi Mo. I think that at 50 years of age, she has too much 'sunk cost'. To me, it's that simple. One clue is that she has not thrown out her second son, who announced that he is no longer 'mormon'. I don't know what he is now, but it's not mormon, and that's a start, and the fact that she has not apparently reacted punitively is nice.
Anyway, I think the 'sunk cost' analogy explains a majority of those who hang on. And since the attachment is purely doctrinal, when something annoys them sufficiently, they can let go and be happy.
