I'm in Antonito Colorado because I'm catching a Cumbres and Toltec train in the morning and I'm in Dos Hermanas mexican restaurant having combo plate #1 when in through the door come two missionaries with a scruffy looking working man who must have been an investigator or something. I'm not so sure how this will turn out. I'm trying to eat my dinner. The place was really busy and the waitress was harried and forgot to bring my chips and salsa. Antonito is a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. This is probably the last place I would expect to see missionaries. The waitress explained to them that there would likely be a fairly long wait. I guess they were in a hurry or something because they got up and left. No soup for you !

Don't miss Cano's Castle while you're there.

If you're in Chama, Kelly's Bar and Cafe had about the best Mexican food I've ever tasted. Of course, that was in 1972, and I'm sure things have changed....

OK. I think I'm getting it figured out. I drove through small hispanic towns in the San Luis valley this morning and saw modern mormon churches. I find this disturbing.
