I saw this photo on a non-exmo related reddit forum. Some churches mean business when it comes to tithing! The Mormon church clearly needs to step up its game.

I'm reasonably certain that one or more ChurchCo members have been X'd (& shamed) for not paying their dues to the org;

No I don't have documentation, but we all know that the 'rules' for being subject to church discipline are Wide Open.

The church already does this.

Who did and didn't sign the sheet for tithing settlement

Countless hours of discussions at ward council

The bishops gossip network.

Etc etc etc

It all depends on the church leadership. Some wanted members to feel church pressure, but in a discreet manner (behind closed doors or home visits or private telephone calls.

However, during the miserable correlation years with a tyrant stake president, names of people would be read over the pulpit. Example: Ward temple trips~ if you had a TR, but hadn't attended during the last 3 months then your name would be read during ward business (usually time was turned over to the EQP and HPGL to do the dirty deeds). Both my parents did not have TR's during this time and my Dad became apostate and hostile towards church leaders. They eventually wooed him back though. They invited him to return to church activity as the EQ secretary and then they ultimately regretted that decision.

During opening exercises of ph meeting, home teaching failures would be asked to stand (for the full effect of humiliation). I know that I was asked to stand as deacon/teacher for poor church duty due to my attendance.

For those of us that had to endure such tactics (my mission and MTC experience was equally bad), we never forget. I have previously shared that 80% of the youth around my age from my ward have left the church for good. A bunch of them were disfellowshipped for doubting; more were excommunicated over morality issues (pregnancy, drugs and porn).

If they were smart and understood psychology they'd put up a list of those who DO tithe. (And paste a gold star on their foreheads.)

All they do with this is drive people away.
Corporate ignorance is strong in this one.

Should be asked for... Not DEMANDED, Required, Lied & Guilted About

Next step: PAID In Advance
(Of Impending Disaster)

Church captivates members by promising (the) "RELIEF" [Society] if {only} they would just Send (ALL) The Money Now!
