On January 29, 1863, the U.S. Army killed most of the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone at a place called Bear River. I was fortunate enough to attend the 2020 memorial and post this video of the event. Disclaimer: I'm not a historian, journalist, professional videographer but enjoy witnessing historical and noteworthy events such as this. Brigham Young's complicity in this atrocity remains debated among interested parties.

Brigham Young was out to build an empire. He shared one thing in common with the other robber barons who wanted to extract wealth from the western United States. He saw the native Americans as being in the way of progress. Thank's to the Book of Mormon, Brigham could justify clearing out those cursed Lamanites and ushering in the reign of white and delightsom.
