I'm a regular contributor to the facebook page of the St. George News. Lately, a whole lot of Mormons are complaining about Mitt Romney. I delight in reminding them of their so-called values, including CTR. The man made a difficult decision based on his own sense of right and wrong. Isn't that what the Mormons preach? Let the consequence follow?

Well, the consequence of taking a stand for decency is to be excoriated by self-righteous Mormons. So be it.

Damn that song. Name one leader in that operation that has done what is right and faced the consequences like jail time.

someone wrote that when he choked up on the Senate floor, it was like people weeping and giving their testimonkeys.

Is that so?

There was plenty of weeping in some of the churches I attended, but it was usually a quiet and shared sadness. I grew up with call and response, and while we weren't being manipulated without our knowledge, we knew the formula. Finally, catharsis.

I'm a nevermo, so I've never seen people baring (bearing?) their testimonies in TSCC. I thought his emotion was real. I mean, maybe it was. I didn't doubt it until someone here said it was like being in church. That doesn't mean he was being disingenuous - I tend to believe people unless they're outright lying.

Nonetheless, still incredibly PISSED about the dog.

Oh, you thought “choose the right” meant choose to do what’s right? So funny. No. It literally means choose the RIGHT (wing). It’s just another way to help Mormons remember not to think. Just look at your hand, read the ring, then look at the ballot, find the word that starts with R and choose it. There. The thinking has been done. Isn’t it marvelous, isn’t it wunerful how God takes that thinking burden off of you!
