Many of us have heard of the lds "rainy day fund". The members in Venezuela could really need some of their funds they are having a rainy day.

Considering all of Venezuela's overseas bank accounts have been frozen, it is a miracle the country functions at all.

The simple fact the Venezuela is in such a bad way is a tell tale sign they have neglected the prompt and honest payment of Tithing.

If they would pay, they would prosper. Sending church fund down there is a disservice. Its like they are receiving Negative tithing from the church, thus robbing god.

OTOH, if ChurchCo started disbursing $$$ to the Vene TBMs, their neighbors, friends, co-workers would quickly learn that 'It PAYS to be LDS' and wish to jump into baptism;
