So I'm driving home from work the other day on my way to Oregon City and I get behind a car with stickers in the back window. There were two stickers with horse images and one had a few words with it, and one sticker that said "I (heart) Tapirs".

I live in a rural area with a lot of equestrian stuff, stables, breeding, training, etc. so I get the horse stickers.

The only connection I can make with the tapir is the horse / tapir connection from book of mormon apologists. So I'm wondering if this was an exmo showing their love of horses while highlighting the ridiculous mormon excuse that they may have been tapirs.

I wonder if tapir poop makes for good composting.

I have a paleontologist friend I work with who's wife (also a paleontologist) studies horse fossils. They's got an "I heart Tapirs" sticker on the bumper of their car. Neither are mormon. I asked them about it one morning, and they were surprised that I knew what a tapir was.
