Now, some students say they feel gaslighted and like they’ll be punished.

Bitter scoffed at Utt's statement urging students to "reach out to those who are personally affected with sensitivity, love and respect."

“It sounds really fake, honestly,” Bitter said. “They can say all they want that they love us, that they have respect for LGBT students, but they don’t. They don’t show that in their actions at all. We’re second-class citizens here.”
