More temples closing ... Seattle being the first to close in the U.S. due to virus concerns and Rome being the first in Europe to close.

Several temples have been closed because of concern for the workers and patrons. A large number of temple workers and patrons are from an older demographic, which has a higher susceptibility to complications from the coronavirus. These closures are in accordance with the recommendations of local public health agencies. The following temples have been temporarily closed:

Asia:

Fukuoka Japan Temple
Sapporo Japan Temple
Seoul Korea Temple
Taipei Taiwan Temple

Europe:
Rome Italy Temple

USA:
Seattle Washington Temple (The governor of Washington has requested that no large gatherings take place.)

Previously closed for renovation:

Hong Kong China Temple
Tokyo Japan Temple

Why do any temples need to be open? You can learn the secret handshakes on the Internet. The church could kill two birds with one stone by putting out an instructional video including the secret handshakes, hand sanitizer, and coughing into one’s elbow.

But what about the dead? Don’t they need special ordinances? Recall how SLC cancels ordinances remotely after you resign. They don’t need laying on of hands or any mumbo jumbo. It’s all done by computer these days. They can save the dead by computer the same way.

They should turn all of the temples into mausoleums. That’s what they look like anyway. Mormons can then sit together in death, in style. It would be just like Sacrament Meeting.

What's the difference between dead temple patrons & living ones?

the living ones are still expected to PAY TITHING!

When is religion going to stop pretending they believe in faith healing and that God will protect them?

Maybe we should watch what they do, not what they teach.

It should bother the sheep that God and faith doesn't seem to keep viruses out of their sacred spots. Instead, it is more effective to keep the believers from congregating in their sacred spots. Go figure. Gee, God works in mysterious ways.

Faith left the building a long time ago. They’re a bunch of fakers.

Good point, Dagny.
A virus seems to be more powerful than their god.

Now if they or their profit had faith the size of a little mustard seed... that’s it! Mustard will protect them!

It has to be Dijon mustard. There are many other mustards to have faith in, but Dijon is the one true seed. Other mustards have ~some~ faith truth, but only Dijon offers the fullness of faith.

I used to think "real mustard" was a brownish-yellow, and that the screaming yellow French's Mustard was food coloring. Then I moved to the northern plains where they grow the stuff. The fields are screaming yellow. French's had a processing plant nearby.

I still buy the brown "deli mustard", preferably with horseradish added. It's all grandma ever used.

I’m sure the dozen Roman Latter-day Saints will feel secure knowing they’re safer at home. “My house is a house of microbes!” saith the prophet. The Tuscan Boner
