Not to worry. I'm typing with gloves on so I don't spread the virus through the keyboard and into my posts where others could be infected by reading them.

I would also suggest wearing eye protection when reading posts on this site so if a post is infected, the virus doesn't get in your eyes.

Masks are fine too, but I'm not sure how much they help. I prefer an avocado base with honey and egg whites, then I put cucumber slices on my eyes....which makes it hard to type.

Pretty much, my eyes need to see which key my fingers are pressing. I type fairly fast, but I have to look at the keyboard most of the time.

But the nice thing is, the mask makes a nice dip for the cucumber slices when I'm ready to remove all of it.

Actually, I did see a how-to on exactly this! There is a right way and a wrong way to wipe. And disinfectants that are good and those that are not on the recommended list.

Heretofore I have dusted my keyboard. Disinfected? No. But hey I will do my part to avoiding contaminating myself. I can joke, hopefully within reason and without losing compassion, but since I had the totally major bout of flu xmas 2019 I have been vigilant about protecting myself. Hit me out of the blue and nearly carried me off. Never been sick before in my life. Totally took me by surprise. At least it spurred me on to get some major housekeeping done. Don't want to go suddenly and leave a mess behind myself. I know, it's mundane. But I don't want anybody to think ill of me when I'm dead. :)

I am in Central Virginia. All the school districts surrounding my county have just announced closed for 2 weeks.

I expect to be told we will be closing for 2 weeks tomorrow when we go in for faculty meeting--kids won't be there tomorrow.

Yes, I'm in Maryland. I like how our governor is moving very aggressively to respond to the pandemic. He has just handed off all day-to-day responsibilities to his lieutenant governor so that he can focus on the Covid-19 crisis.

Like so many, I have felt the spirit move across my waters, and so I am impressed to announce that I am now in self-quarantine, except for when I go out.

It is with a great deal of sadness that I make this announcement. If you do happen to see me outside of the house, please be assured that it was with great sorrow that I reached the necessary determination that the trip was necessary. Otherwise, I simply wouldn't do it, because like so many of you, I always do those things that are necessary. If it appears that my 'convenience' is also a factor, you're a dirty rat bastard for reaching that conclusion.

So... If you see me walking down the street, and I start to cry each time we meet, walk on by...
