I'm so disgusted.

The missionaries are serving the sacrament during this lock down.

My nephew lives in a group home in Hawaii.

There are 3 members in the house & one potential convert.

Sooooo the missionaries visited them on Sunday....with the sacrament & a lesson.

WTH?

I wish I knew how to report this....

It's on Oahu.

I have no idea what ward or stake.

But these are missionaries.

Who is in charge?

I have lots of bad words to express my anger....but
trying to express it tactfully.

Thanks for being here....

I'd google the Hawaii Department of Health. If they're not the right place, they'll direct you to the right place. I'd be pissed too.

No need to be tactful.

It's irresponsible to risk endangering at risk people just for the sake of a dumb religious ritual.

...reaming out whatever elder was on the other end of the phone.

This may not still be current, but you can give it a shot:

Address: 1500 S. Beretania St, Ste 416. Honolulu, HI 96826.
Phone: (808) 942-0050

Though I do agree with the Hawaii Department of Health idea too.

Gross. I wouldn't want anyone's hands touching my bread, especially now. Even with gloves, it's not sanitary. If you can catch it in a sacred temple, you can definitely catch it outside of the temple.
I don't think the people in a small island want this to spread.

This is off thread a bit, but I was a missionary in Hawaii. What an amazing place full of wonderful beautiful human beings. There is something ugly I always felt, telling folks who live island style that they should adopt that oppressive and suffocating way of life. I always felt we were chipping away at their culture when we should have been celebrating and preserving.
I guess my point is that I am not surprised one iota the missionaries are acting in an arrogant manner. Still spreading shit that should not be spread. Ignorance and unwarranted arrogance

They’re like a Roomba that ran over dog poop.

In addition to the other calls, I would also call whoever is in charge of the group home (along with whatever agency oversees the home.) IMO that is the fastest way to get action.

Plus it endangers the missionaries.

When you're on your mission, your mission president is responsible for how his missionaries use the priesthood (blessing the bread and water in this case). No Bishop nor Stake President ever authorizes missionaries to do anything except to use their respective buildings to hold baptisms. The eccliasistic leader for the missionaries is their mission president. So the Mission President is on the hook. Call the mission president's home (the number can be found, probably in the printed phone book). He will call those missionaries in and ask them to explain their actions. If he authorized these non-church-service sacrament deliveries, it's time to go to his General Authority. Yes, mission presidents do have bosses who hold them accountable. When you go to the GA talk about the church spreading the disease and about the resulting 'embarrassment on the church'. Talk about going to the media with this.

This is especially bad whenever members break the bread and handle the sacrament they already do it in such an unsanitary way. Now this is just compounding their folly
