Several companies and partnerships have been working hard on a vaccine for Covid-19. I listened to an interview with Johnson & Johnson's CEO this morning, and he called it "our moon shot." He described it as an all-hands-on-deck situation. He says that they have a good candidate vaccine (that they have been working on since January,) and that vaccine will begin human trials next fall. Production will begin in advance of FDA approval, with hope for approval and release early next year.

Early-stage human trials for a vaccine developed as a joint collaboration between the NIH and Moderna have already begun in Seattle.

I just want to say that there is hope. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. We will beat this. We just need to stay safe, be kind, and persevere.
