For decades the church has frowned on any mention of storing anything beyond what could be bought through church channels.

on a few occasions they tried to put me in charge of the so called readiness program.

It was so easy to get released. All I had to do was teach to store rice vs wheat or commercially canned soups and pasta over cans of wheat honey and bags of potatoes.

I gave an entire lesson on non food items. Was released the next sunday.

One good thing about living on a farm--items like N95 masks and disposable gloves you just have on hand all the time, for whatever.
