I'd be interested in your opinions of this: https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/gallery/2020/jun/06/model-behaviour-luna-the-lockdown-dog-in-pictures

Yours are much better, Susan :-)

Have a great weekend

The photog got Luna hooked on loaded treats and now to score a treat, Luna has to whore herself out as a model!!

I hope Luna is one day able to get clean and sober ...

I rather agree. The dog's eyes look weird. Maybe Luna didn't move for several days...

Why am I disturbed? (By the photos, you smartasses. I know you're out there. Being smart. And asstackular.)

Maybe Luna is ummm a victim of ummm taxidermy?

Luna is the photographer's "dog she fostered at the start of lockdown."

I have a German Wire Haired Pointer. Smart as a whip. She can even talk when she feels like it. She says "Tell all those bi-pods, that are dressing up dogs, to stop it. Now. It's debasing and embarrassing. Our other dog friends bully them due to the insensitivity of their owners. Wuff"

Luna just isn't used to wearing things. I start when they are little so it is always something they are used to.

YAY! It took me a few months but I figured how to add new pics since the "update". I hate updates!

Margaux in her Coyote Vest with Hawk Shield. When you weigh 5lbs EVERYONE wants to eat you even the cats!

But Suze, you know it's just plain wrong, right? Just wrong.

It's like people who do this: https://www.tyrantfarms.com/how-to-diaper-a-duck-with-instructional-video/

Well of course you have to diaper them! You don't want duck poop in the bed do you? If I could get Hubby to move to TAS I would have to diaper the wombats right?

And don't you think the ducks would just love to have vests?

Yes get over here to Tasmania as soon as you can Susan, the marsupials would love to be 'diapered'. Although the local term is nappy, and it can't be used as a verb unfortunately. Start with the little guys like potaroos, then gradually move up to the wombats which would take the larger sizes.

If you're a music fan, follow in the steps of Brian Ritchie of the Violent Femmes, who left Milwaukee for Tasmania about 10 years ago and is now a feature of the local cultural scene and lives in a nice bush house - he'd love some help wrapping up the local fauna.

They don't really use nappies. Most of the animals in care use pouches and or hanging bags. Bats need batwraps to turn them into little bat burritos. Most of them when they are very small need help to potty. They do go through a lot of inner liners, caregivers do a LOT of laundry! That is why ARC, Animal Rescue Craft Guild, is so important. People sew, knit and crochet for them all over the world. They are also always in need of money if you have a few spare bucks :) During the fires they also needed many koala mittens to protect their little hands while they healed. Koalas have three fingers and two thumbs btw :). You would never guess it but the closest relative to a koala is the wombat. Almost all of them use pacifiers, they call them dummies there. ARC also helps with things like humidicribs for pinkies, food and a lot goes to medical care. They help many carers in AU and TAS.

Potaroos would be a too tiny for me oldpobot. All of the roos have such delicate little legs I would be afraid to handle them. Same for flying foxes and their beautiful wings. They must be washed with lotion and given daily sunbaths. I could see myself caring for pademelons. But my heart is really with wombats. They are like sweet little footballs with legs :). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BA2tTy8IqDg

LOL, love this! If you added up the dog clothes and the bear clothes they have way more than I do. Living in a little country town you really don't need much.

What a cutie! The sweater is fabulous and it is keeping him nice and warm. How big is he? You might consider a Coyote Vest for when you are camping. They don't inhibit movement in any way.
